So a few weeks ago we played Montana. This is always a crazy game for Weber football. Every year we rotate where we play, so last year we played in Ogden, and this year we played in Missoula. Our starting Quarterback, Mike Hoke, was injured for this game. This meant I was the starter.
The environment was unbelievable. Over 25,000 in attendance. Yes TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND. The noise level was insane. I've never experienced anything like this before. I couldn't even talk to someone a foot away from me. I had to scream. I definitely lost my voice the next day.
We needed to win this game to have a chance at getting into playoffs. I had a lot resting on my shoulders. Unfortunately we didn't win. We actually lost 48-10. This was embarrassing. My first start and we get demolished. Nothing was working for us on both offense and defense.
I've learned a lot from this experience, and hope to get more playing time in the future. Even though we lost, I still had a blast playing in that kind of atmosphere.
That is one of the toughest places to play in the NATION! The Montana football team has only lost at home TWICE in the last FOUR years!!
You must learn a lot from the experience! You will get only better and that's a good thing!
